Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir together sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa powder until smooth and the butter is melted.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil and let boil for 1 minute without stirring.
  3. Take off the heat and stir in vanilla extract and peanut butter until fully blended and glossy.
  4. Fold in quick oats and a pinch of salt until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Flatten slightly if desired.
  6. Let them cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until firm.
