Description

A hearty and flavorful Cauldron Beef Stew Dinner, perfect for a cozy family meal. This recipe features tender beef chunks, savory vegetables, and a rich broth, all slow-simmered to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef Chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 3 Carrots, sliced into rounds
  • 2 Onions, chopped finely
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 3 Potatoes, diced into cubes
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in your cauldron or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add beef cubes and brown on all sides. Remove from pot and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, sauté chopped onions, sliced carrots, and minced garlic until softened.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for one minute.
  5. Return the browned beef to the pot.
  6. Add diced potatoes, thyme, beef broth, salt, and pepper.
  7. Cover the pot and simmer for approximately 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender.
  8. Check that the beef is thoroughly cooked using a meat thermometer.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use beef chuck.
  • Feel free to substitute vegetables based on your preference or what you have available.
  • To thicken the stew, mash some of the potatoes directly in the pot.
