- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- For cinnamon sugar coating:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, and beaten egg.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface using a rolling pin.
- Cut out bat shapes using a bat-shaped cookie cutter.
- Place the bat shapes on a baking sheet, spaced evenly apart.
- Brush the tops of the bat bites with melted butter.
- Sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Notes
- These bat bites are best enjoyed fresh.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
- For a change, add chocolate chips or drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled bats.
- If a bat-shaped cutter is unavailable, use any other shape.
