Description

This recipe features a creamy, cheesy, and garlicky bowtie pasta dish with seasoned ground beef. It’s a comforting, rich, and filling meal that’s quick to prepare, perfect for weeknights or serving to guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound bowtie pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add olive oil and butter to the skillet with the beef. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook, stirring, until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
  • If heavy cream is unavailable, use half-and-half or whole milk with a tablespoon of butter.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese will provide the best flavor.
  • Add spinach, mushrooms, or broccoli for extra vegetables.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
  • This dish can be made gluten-free by using gluten-free pasta.
