Description
These fudgy M&M brownies are an easy one-bowl recipe. They are rich, dense, and packed with M&M’s for a colorful crunch. Perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup M&M’s, divided
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper and coat with nonstick spray.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the butter and 1 1/2 cups of the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Melt over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, then remove from the heat.
- Whisk in both sugars, then add the eggs one at a time until the batter is smooth and combined. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Stir in the salt and flour until just incorporated. Do not overmix. Fold in the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of the M&M’s.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of M&M’s evenly over the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into squares.
Notes
- Properly measure your flour by spooning it into the measuring cup and leveling it off with a knife. This prevents the brownies from becoming dry.
- Using room temperature eggs helps them mix more evenly into the batter, creating a smoother texture.
- Store airtight at room temperature for up to 3 days.
