Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg

  2. Mix pumpkin, coconut oil, and water in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, and baking powder to the wet ingredients.
  4. Stir in the egg until the dough forms a slightly sticky ball. Add a bit more water if needed.
  5. On a floured surface, roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes like pumpkins, bones, or ghosts.
  7. Place the cut-out treats on a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until firm and golden.
  9. Allow the biscuits to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Use 100% pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie mix.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • For grain-free treats, swap whole wheat flour for oat or almond flour.
