Description

This Irresistible Shrimp, Crab & Spinach Dip is a warm, creamy, and cheesy appetizer packed with seafood flavor. It’s perfect for gatherings, game days, or a cozy night in, offering a comforting and luxurious taste in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound medium to large shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • 8 ounces lump crab meat, drained
  • 10 ounces frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the squeezed-dry spinach to the skillet and cook until any remaining moisture has evaporated, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  5. Stir in the chopped shrimp, lump crab meat, and the cooked spinach mixture.
  6. Add half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese to the bowl. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix everything together until just combined.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or an oven-safe skillet.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the dip.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and the cheese on top is golden brown.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, substitute half of the cream cheese with Neufchâtel cheese or plain Greek yogurt.
  • If lump crab meat is unavailable, you can use more shrimp or finely chopped cooked white fish.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dippers like tortilla chips, crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetable sticks.
  • This irresistible shrimp crab spinach dip reheats well. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat gently in the oven or microwave.
