Description
A spooky, fun, no-bake Halloween treat! This Melting Witch Chocolate Bark features swirled green candy melts, chocolate chip eyes, and witchy hats made with Oreos and Reese’s. A 20-minute Halloween favorite!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag Wilton Candy Melts (vibrant green)
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips (divided)
- 8 pretzel sticks
- 8 mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- 8 Halloween Oreos
- 8 Hershey’s Hugs
- Optional Add-Ins: Purple or orange candy melts, candy eyeballs, edible glitter, crushed Oreos
Instructions
- Lay out parchment paper on a cookie tray.
- Prep all ingredients in bowls for quick access.
- Melt green candy melts on low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Spoon approximately 4-inch circles of the melted green candy onto the parchment paper and spread evenly with the back of the spoon.
- Melt the remaining mini chocolate chips. Add small dollops onto the green circles and swirl gently with a toothpick to create a spell-casting effect.
- Place a Halloween Oreo at the edge of each bark circle to serve as the base for the witch’s hat.
- Dip a Hershey’s Hug into melted chocolate and press it onto the top of the Oreo to complete the witch’s hat.
- Use two mini chocolate chips to create witchy eyes near the center of each bark circle.
- Insert pretzel sticks into the sides of the mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to create little broomsticks. Place these broomsticks diagonally across from the Oreo hats on each green circle.
- Let the Halloween Melting Witch Chocolate Bark set at room temperature for 15–20 minutes until firm.
Notes
- For extra flair, add candy eyeballs or edible glitter.
- Store the Melting Witch Chocolate Bark in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
- This recipe is a fun Halloween activity for kids and adults alike.
- Avoid overheating the chocolate; keep the heat low and stir constantly.
- Prepare all ingredients before melting the chocolate, as you need to work quickly.
- Use parchment paper, not wax paper, to prevent sticking.
- Feel free to customize colors with purple or black candy melts for a different Halloween look.
- If your home is warm, you can chill the tray in the refrigerator to help the bark set faster.
