Description
Enjoy a healthier, homemade version of the popular fall coffee shop drink. This recipe features real pumpkin, warm spices, and natural sweeteners for a frothy, flavorful, and guilt-free pumpkin cream cold foam.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup milk of choice (unsweetened almond, oat, skim, or cashew)
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée (not pie filling)
- 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or preferred sweetener (stevia, monk fruit)
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: pinch of cinnamon for dusting
- For Cold Brew (or use store-bought): 1/2 cup coarsely ground coffee, 2 cups cold water
Instructions
- Make the Cold Brew (optional): Combine ground coffee and cold water in a jar or French press. Steep for 12-18 hours in the refrigerator. Strain.
- Prepare the Pumpkin Cold Foam: In a small blender or frother, combine the milk, pumpkin purée, sweetener, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla. Blend until thick and frothy (about 15-20 seconds).
- Assemble the Drink: Fill a tall glass with ice and pour in your cold brew. Gently spoon or pour the pumpkin cold foam on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
Notes
- Use cold milk for the best foam texture; oat milk froths particularly well.
- Ensure you use pure pumpkin purée, not pumpkin pie filling.
- Sweeten to your preference with maple syrup, stevia, or monk fruit.
- The foam is best served fresh but can be stored in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and re-frothed before use.
- Cold brew can be stored for up to a week in the fridge.
