Description
Create spooky and delicious Spiderweb Pizza Bites with string-cheese webs and olive spiders. These easy, cheesy Halloween snacks are baked in minutes on mini rounds, perfect for parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet crescent dough or mini pitas
- 1/3 cup pizza sauce (smooth)
- String mozzarella, pulled into thin strands
- 2 large black olives, halved for bodies and sliced for legs
- Optional: shredded mozzarella for base sprinkle
- Optional: garlic powder or garlic butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350–400°F depending on base.
- Seal perforations on crescent dough and punch 2–3 inch circles; place on a baking sheet.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on each round.
- Lay mozzarella strands in a starburst pattern, then add two concentric rings to create a web.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes for crescent rounds, or until cheese melts and edges turn golden.
- Assemble spiders by adding an olive head and body with 6–8 leg slices.
- Return to the oven for 2–3 minutes to set the design.
- Rest briefly for 2 minutes to set lines; serve hot.
Notes
- For larger pizza bases, par-bake them before adding the web and spiders, then finish for 2–3 minutes to set the lines.
- Keep sauce thin to prevent the web from bleeding.
- For parties, bake in batches and hold at 200°F for up to 15 minutes.
