Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak, sliced thinly
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 ounces wide egg noodles or fettuccine-style rice noodles
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 1 bunch bok choy, chopped
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- Optional: chili oil, Sriracha, or red pepper flakes for spice
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and brown sugar to make the stir-fry sauce.
- Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add steak and stir-fry until browned. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and stir-fry until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside with the steak.
- Add onion and carrots to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
- Add bok choy and minced garlic, stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until bok choy is wilted.
- Return the steak and shrimp to the skillet. Add the cooked noodles and pour the stir-fry sauce over everything.
- Toss gently to combine and heat through, ensuring the noodles and ingredients are well coated in the sauce.
- If desired, add chili oil, Sriracha, or red pepper flakes for extra spice.
- Serve immediately for a delicious steak shrimp stir fry dinner.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, use tamari or coconut aminos instead of soy sauce and gluten-free noodles.
- Feel free to substitute vegetables based on what you have on hand, such as bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas.
- If you prefer a milder dish, omit the optional chili elements.
- This steak and shrimp stir fry is also great for meal prep as it reheats well.
