Description
Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs are a delicious and easy meal. Tender chicken thighs are coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze. This recipe is perfect for busy weeknights and uses minimal ingredients for maximum flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/3 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, ground ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the chicken thighs, turning them to coat evenly in the marinade. Cover and let them marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat a bit of olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken and pour the remaining marinade over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from oven, let rest for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic and good quality honey for the best flavor.
- Allow the chicken to rest after cooking to keep it juicy.
- Consider adding sesame oil or rice vinegar to the marinade for extra flavor.
- For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
